Dr. Wu is currently a Postdoctoral fellow at School of Nursing, The University of Hong Kong (HKU). She obtained her bachelor’s degree from School of Nursing, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) in 2015, and her master’s degree from School of Nursing, Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU) in 2018. She then graduated with a Ph.D. from School of Nursing, The University of Hong Kong (HKU) under the supervision of Prof. Edmond Choi in 2023.
Dr. Wu’s research interests include sexual health, women health, mental health, sexual and gender minority population, complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Her PhD dissertation is one of the first studies to investigate the comprehensive health of Chinese women with diverse sexual identities using mixed methods approach. She was awarded the YS and Christabel Lung Postgraduate Scholarship twice, in 2021-2022 and 2022-2023. In addition, she received the Best Oral Presentation Award at the 27th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars in 2024. She is also the reviewer for many peer-reviewed journals including JMIR Public Health and Surveillance, Scientific Reports, BMC Health Services Research, Sexual health, BMC Public Health, BMC Nursing and Health & Social Care in the Community.
